Language of Madhyapur Thimi
Madhyapur Thimi has a population of around 48 thousand, amongst which more than 90 percent are Newars.

The Newars of Thimi speak Thimi dialect of Nepal bhasa. Being in between three majors cities of the valley, the dialect of here is influenced by that of the big cities. Nepali, Hindi, Tamang and other languages are also widely spoken in many parts of the town. The educated people speak and understand English as well.
