Thimi is also famous for traditional handmade clothes. In every potters' / farmers' house there used to be a traditional handloom - tan. Women used to weave clothes in their own houses. Cotton is also spinned in own houses.
A range of handloom clothes such as Puntika, mathema, Halah Goh, Malay Goh, Lawan Phoh, Sikhah Loogu, etc. are weaven in Thimi. Various types of heavy cotton clothes, Allo and hemp clothes are also woven in Thimi.
All kinds of dresses such as shirts, t-shirts, pants, trousers, caps, ties, coats and other handicrafts such as wallets, wall hangings, bags, tea mats, lunch mats, etc. are also made from those traditional clothes in Thimi.
